I had a wonderful time with these little ones. I couldn't get enough of the sweet smiles, and laughes. Children grow so fast, and time goes so quickly. Cherish all these sweet moments. Enjoy a few from the R shoot!

Big family BIG blessing

There are times I must admit that it's loud in my house ;) If you have ever talked to me on the phone, you would nod and agree completely :) And there are quite a few times that my house is cluttered with things everywhere, and everything is not put in it's place. You know those days where you just look at everything, and let out a deep sigh, thinking to yourself, "OK, if I could only snap my fingers, and this would all magically disappear." Only to realize 3 hours later, that was one long snap ;) Well, this week was no exception, but maybe even louder and more cluttered, and I LOVED every minute of it. My amazing sister and her beautiful family came to visit for a day. She and her awesome husband just adopted twins. The loudness of all our kids together, playing was just the best. Laughter filled the house, and yes it was cluttered a bit, but that was just because we were all enjoying one another. I will never forget hearing one of her girls call out "Mama" over and over again. It brought tears to my eyes. Family is so important... I love my family, and having a BIG family is a wonderful blessing. I am so thankful to have 2 more beautiful children who call me Auntie.

New Kid on the Block

The traveling pants

My husband is my best friend, and the love of my life. I am so thankful to have married into his family, and I'm really glad he moved us up to NC. Years ago, when my first son was born, my awesome mother-in-law gave me a pair of jeans my husband wore when he was a little man. I LOVE them. If you k now me, you know I love anything old. Something that has a story. Needless to say, my baby wears them all the time now. I still can't believe that my giant husband used to fit in these tiny pants. I thought you might enjoy to see them, because you knew I took a picture ;)

Love this family. They just had their #5, and are (as you can see) lovin it. What a blessing it is to take pictures of newborns. It is such a precious thing to hold them. Their just so small, and beautiful The Lords complete handy work. Enjoy some of this sweet little bundle of lovin'!

Our Sweet Flower

My son said it best when he said, "She looks like a flower."

Well today was another great day, not without it's spills, but still good. We woke up and went outside to play. Everyone was having a good time, other than the occasional "I wanted to play with that" game, and then it happened (overly dramatic), I watched my sweet baby girl lose her footing as she walked down the steps. Down she went. Praise the Lord I was standing right there, but I'm was nervous. Sweeping her up, I took her to the kitchen to find a cut under her lip. This broke my heart. My first thought was would she need stitches??? And then of course, "Oh no...I hope it won't leave a scar." She was a trooper, and was fine minutes later. Several good friends checked her out, and patched her up. If you have a daughter, I'm sure I don't have to tell you what a blessing they are. I can remember thinking after having 3 boys, "I wonder if I'll ever have a girl?" It was the one I decided not to find out with that I had a girl ;)

She is precious, and brings such joy to our home. Anyway back on track. After today, I was able to thank God for it being a small thing in her life. Something she'll never remember. Her father and I won't forget. In life it's the little things that can make a big difference. After this little scrap, I was able to cherish her even more. Knowing how fragile she is, and I thank God for helping us through that small moment. And of course I had to go off today and just get her a small something. She knows that we love her, but like any child or girl, gifts are an extra treat. Disney outlet had a great sale on princess shoes, and dresses, that made her night! I took some pictures of her, band-aid and all, because I want this memory too.

Ok ...I decided to use my post not just for photography, but also to just talk a little. I love journals, and really that's what a blog is, right?

Today was truly a great Friday. I love this time of year where we can reflect on what Christ did on the cross. We still had school today, and it was a good one too! Home schooling can have it's ups and downs, but today was def. an up :) We finished up school, did some yard work, and then got ready for friends. We grilled chicken and had a feast. I'm sure I gained back the 5 pds I just lost, but the food and fellowship was great. The kids had so much fun, we almost didn't have to watch them at all as they played in the yard. Now all is quiet. I am so thankful for this day. And this week too. Special moments included turning around to find my 2 year old had found a black Sharpie, and decided to use it like makeup on her baby brother ;), and my baby kissing me to wake me up. Precious moments I pray I will not forget.

Tomorrow I have a newborn shoot. So excited about that. Weekends are wonderful aren't they? Enjoy yours
